The Pilot Weight Management Retreat begins in ONE WEEK!

I’m energized and excited to share the location, vital information about losing fat sustainably, and sinking
into a deeper level of self-awareness. We will focus on liberating the best version of yourself at this age
and stage of life. Our goal is to support your transition to achieve as much health and balance as you
have access to at this time. You can rest assured, that we will do everything in our power to encourage a
sense of safety, choice, options, playfulness, exploration, and discovery. Additionally, we will be engaging
in movement and expressive arts (non-verbal expression) to facilitate this process.

This retreat is already a WIN the moment people step foot on the property to participate. This is the
realization of a dream that has been spinning for decades in the heart and mind of myself and my spouse.
The idea being, coming together in community to inspire, collaborate, and bolster each other as we
struggle to embody a little more ‘SELF’ Energy and reclaim who we are! The menu has been created with
a desire to savor the experience of food and to express love and caring for oneself. Each day has been
carefully mapped out to meet standards for calories (between 1,200-1,500 kcal per day eating one serving
of each item at breakfast, a.m. snack, lunch, p.m. snack, dinner and dessert), and macronutrients (protein,
fat, carbs). In this way, attendees can relax and focus on mindfully experiencing their food.

The planned physical movement has been designed to energize, relax (i.e., “calm energy”), and listen to
our bodies as they perform so we can respond mindfully. The activities are set-up to meet the
participant where they are at, gain sensory, breath, and body awareness, and create an ember of fire
that can continue to burn and gain momentum as you move forward on your journey afterward.

Expressive arts include dance, visual arts, drama, digital media, music, and more. This integrative,
multimodal approach allows the mind to take a backseat (for a change), and allow the body and
emotions to tell their story and provide their wisdom. In art therapy, they are considered a more direct
path to the unconscious content of our psyche. Here, we will give the non-mind parts a voice. In
gathering this information, we will have the essential elements we need to better understand ourselves
and create the lasting change we want in our lives.

We use many approaches and perspectives as we coax the desired shifts in who we are and how we
engage this world. Some are “Top Down,” meaning our mind is leading the change (instructing the body
and emotion center), and others are “Bottom Up” strategies including changes in the body and behavior
that impact the way we think, our beliefs, and our physiological well-being. Ultimately, we get optimal
results when we approach a problem from a variety of perspectives and really ‘crack open’ the issue
down to its roots so we can wrap ourselves around it and pull it out for good.

With great anticipation, I look forward to engaging with you for four days of healing and growth.
