First gosling sighting

We went shopping on Friday. We try to go grocery shopping once every two weeks to minimize the back and forth in the boat, so we buy quite a bit of food. It’s a multistage process to get the food to the house – load the truck at the store, drive to the marina, move the food from the truck to the boat, boat home, then unload the boat up the stairs to the house. Anyway, as we were moving food from the truck to the boat on Friday (April 12th), we saw this:

Unfortunately my phone did not get a great picture, but there are four (or five?) goslings lined up behind the lead Canada goose like beads on a string. These are the first waterfowl babies we’ve seen this season and I wanted to make note of it. It seems quite early for that.
